North Schuylkill Marching Band to present ‘LITTLE MONSTERS’

The North Schuylkill Marching Band gathers for a group photo.

The North Schuylkill High School Spartan Marching Band, under the leadership of Band Director Jacob M. Shoener, has announced its show for the 2024 season: “LITTLE MONSTERS,” featuring the renowned music of Lady Gaga.

Shoener is entering his fourth year as Band Director and his fifth year teaching in the North Schuylkill School District.

Selections for the show include: “Bloody Mary,” “Shallow,” “Bad Romance” and “The Edge of Glory.”

The ensemble is led by Drum Majors Erika Trexler and Avery Kaminski, with Autumn Hendricks as the featured soloist (Football Band) or London White as our featured soloist (Competition Band).

Goals and objectives for the band this season are to continue to show growth and improvement with each performance throughout the season. And to put on a well-executed, entertaining show every single time!

Special Events/Performances include:

*North Schuylkill High School Tournament of Bands Show — Saturday, Oct. 12, at 3:30 p.m. (gates open at 3:30 p.m.; event begins at 4:30 p.m.). Tickets are $10 for adult admission and $5 for students/senior citizens. Seventeen different performing bands are scheduled to participate.

*North Schuylkill Hosts Tournament of Bands Chapter 02 Championships — Saturday, Oct. 19, at 6 p.m. (gates open at 5 p.m.; event begins at 6 p.m.). Tickets are $10. Eleven different performing bands are scheduled to compete.

*North Schuylkill High School “Band-O-Rama” Fall Concert — Tuesday, Oct. 22, at 7 p.m. at North Schuylkill High School’s Hope-Cesari Gymnasium.
