High School Wrestling: Vikings shine at Rough Rider tourney

Williams Valley's Magnus Monger won a gold medal at 107 pounds Saturday at the William Tennent Wrestling Tournament.

CATASAUQUA — Magnus Monger (107), Xzavion Tennis (133), Colin Crisswell (160), Skylor Green (172) and Camron Green (285) posted 3-1 records Saturday at the season-opening Rough Rider Tournament at Catasauqua High School.

Sixteen teams competed at the event. Team scores were unavailable.

Monger and Skylor Green notched three falls apiece, while Tennis had two pins and a technical fall. Crisswell and Camron Green won by fall twice apiece.

Elisha Weiss (215) went 3-3 on the day with two pins for Williams Valley.
