High School Wrestling: Schuylkill Haven edges Williams Valley

Aden Celani, Schuylkill Haven, picked up a forfeit win during Tuesday's 33-30 Schuylkill League Division II victory over Williams Valley.

SCHUYLKILL HAVEN — Bryce Reber outlasted Elisha Weiss to lift Schuylkill Haven to a 33-30 victory over Williams Valley on Tuesday night in the Schuylkill League Division II opener for both teams.

The only bout to go the distance, Reber pulled out a 13-11 decision over Weiss at 215 pounds to turn the dual meet the Hurricanes’ way. Schuylkill Haven (1-0, 1-0 D-II) also benefitted from five forfeits.

Williams Valley (0-2, 0-1) got falls from Magnus Monger (107), Colin Crisswell (160) and Skylor Green (189). Xzavion Tennis (133) and Camron Green (285) added wins by forfeit for the Vikings. All five wrestlers improved their individual records to 5-1 on the season.

Williams Valley’s Magnus Monger improved to 5-1 with a fall Tuesday night.
