TAMAQUA — Kolbe Robb, Lauren Ligenza and Kendle Miller each scored four points in overtime as Tamaqua outlasted Blue Mountain 53-45 in a Schuylkill League Division I girls’ basketball game Wednesday night.

Ligenza finished with a game-high 20 points and pulled down 10 rebounds for the Blue Raiders (5-1, 2-1 D-I), who outscored the Eagles 12-4 in the extra session.

It was the second straight night Blue Mountain (2-3, 1-2) fell in overtime and the second straight game the Eagles were held without a field goal in the extra frame. Blue Mountain was held to just four free throws Wednesday after not scoring in Tuesday’s OT loss to Schuylkill Haven.

Mila Fleagle paced Blue Mountain with 16 points, hitting three of her four 3-pointers and scoring 13 of her points in the first half. Ligenza scored nine of her points in the first quarter for Tamaqua. The teams were tied at 24-24 at halftime, with Blue Mountain taking a 32-30 lead after three frames.

A 3-pointer by Fleagle in the fourth quarter accounted for Blue Mountain’s final points of regulation as the game went to overtime tied at 41-41. Sam Plasha and Leah Black each had four points in the fourth quarter for Tamaqua.

Cameryn Campbell added nine points and Makayla Keck tallied eight for Blue Mountain. Miller had 12 points for Tamaqua, while Robb added eight points and five steals. Plasha had five assists.
