HELLERTOWN — The Blue Mountain girls’ and boys’ swim teams each improved to 12-1 overall Friday night with non-league victories at Saucon Valley.
The Eagles’ girls won 94-76, while the Blue Mountain boys captured a 105-62 victory.
Sage Kaplafka led the girls’ squad, winning the 50-yard freestyle and 100 freestyle while swimming on the winning 200 medley relay. Alayna Hensel (200 IM), Julia Crossen (500 free) and Molly Stone (100 breaststroke) added victories.
A 1-2 finish by Crossen and Isabella Lafko in the 500 freestyle and a 1-3-4 finish by Stone, Grace Zulli and Emma Beiswinger propelled the Eagles to victory.
On the boys’ side, Gabe Kamarousky (200 IM, 100 free) and Noah Powers (100 fly, 100 back) each won two events and swam on two winning relays. Liam Magdeburg (200 free), Aidan Varney (50 free) and Jonathan Hart (500 free) added wins as the Eagles won 10 of the 11 contested events.
