SCHUYLKILL HAVEN — Anna Schaeffer, Isabella Hughes and Bella Murphy were each double-winners as Schuylkill Haven swept Weatherly and Nativity in a Schuylkill League Division II girls’ track and field tri-meet Tuesday at Rotary Field.

The Hurricanes rolled past Weatherly 127-11, then defeated Nativity 97-43. Nativity downed Weatherly 88-11.

Schaeffer took first in the 800- and 1,600-meter runs, while Hughes swept the hurdle events and Murphy claimed the high jump and triple jump. Kalynne Miller (3,200) and Karlee Feger (discus) added victories for Schuylkill Haven, which swept the relays.

Sara Spolski won four events for Nativity, taking first in the 100, 200, 400 and long jump. Emmalee Pinkey won the shot put for the Green Wave, while Kelly Reiner took top honors in the javelin for Weatherly.

Marian tops Bears, Devils in tri-meet

MAHANOY CITY — Alizabeth Pikitus (100, 400) and Esme Petschauer (discus, javelin) each won two events as Marian swept past Mahanoy Area and Shenandoah Valley in a Schuylkill League Division II tri-meet at Alumni Stadium.

Marian downed Mahanoy Area 91-50 and beat Shenandoah Valley 115-25. Mahanoy Area topped Shenandoah Valley 92-43.

Lara Cancio (100 hurdles), Kali Grochowski (high jump), Gabrielle Osenbach (long jump) and Addy Fritz (triple jump) added wins for Marian, which swept the relays. The Fillies won 11 of 17 events.

Felicia Bro was a double-winner in the 1,600 and 3,200 for the Golden Bears, while Nashallyz Nieves (200), Caylin Blashock (800), Lilly Brown (300 hurdles) and Luisana Guzman (shot put) notched victories.

TAMAQUA — Samantha Plasha won the high jump, pole vault and long jump and ran on a winning relay as the Blue Raiders took down the Crimson Tide in a Division I matchup at Tamaqua Area High School Stadium.

Katelynn Fredericks (100), Sienna Stellfox (200), Lucia DeMarco (400), Madelyn Schaefer (400), Kimmy Rudy (1,600) and Isabella Jones (3,200) each added victories for Tamaqua, which dominated on the track.

Alexa Giuffre swept the hurdles and ran on a winning relay for Pottsville, while Ashley Gould took top honors in the shot put and discus. Rhyan Brennan (triple jump) and Lainey Dusel (javelin) added field wins for the Tide.

PINE GROVE — Anna Cook, Maggie Hoffman-Long, Jewlisa Perez and Avery Miller each captured two events as the Miners defeated Pine Grove in a Division I meet at Cardinal Stadium.

Cook was victorious in the 1,600 and 3,200. Hoffman-Long took down the triple jump and long jump. Perez took home the top spots in both the 100- and 300-meter hurdles and Miller captured wins in the shot put and discus. The Miners won 12 of the 17 events.

Viktorya Luckenbach of Pine Grove was victorious in the 100 and 200, breaking a school record in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.91 seconds.

Zajac won the high jump, long jump and triple jump for Blue Mountain, which won 15 of 18 events. Makayla Keck was a double-winner, taking first in the javelin and shot put.

Molly Frantz won the 100 and 200 for North Schuylkill.
