LANSFORD — Nick Wagner threw 6.2 innings of one-hit baseball to lead Nativity to a 5-0 win over Panther Valley in a non-league matchup Wednesday afternoon at Panther Valley High School.

Wagner struck out seven and walked four while allowing just a single to Panther Valley’s Logan Fisher in the fourth inning. Ryan Grabowski recorded the final out in relief to complete the combined shutout.

Nativity (6-10) gave Wagner early run support with two runs in both the first and third innings and added an insurance run in the sixth. The Green Wave collected 11 hits, including three from Stephen Karinch and two each from Grabowski and Tommy Bartashus. Grabowski drove in one and scored a run, while Karinch scored three times.

Panther Valley (4-11) struggled at the plate, stranding six runners and striking out eight times. Wagner faced just three batters over the minimum.

Cam Caffery took the loss for the Panthers, allowing four earned runs over five innings. Danny Wehr struck out six over two innings of relief.
