HOMETOWN — Kloee Horoschak had three goals and one assist to lead Minersville over Marian in a non-league girls’ soccer match.
Emily Yoder added two goals, while Hope Motuk notched one goal and three assists for the Battlin’ Miners (4-0). Grace Sterner contributed one goal and one assist as Minersville built a 6-0 halftime lead.
Bella Rizzardi made four saves to post the shutout in goal. Autumn Green (10 saves) and Katie Knock (6 saves) played in goal for Marian (1-2).
Schuylkill Haven 10, Jim Thorpe 0
JIM THORPE — Taylor Haag had two goals and three assists as Schuylkill Haven routed Jim Thorpe in a non-league match.
Five Hurricanes notched two goals apiece. In addition to Haag, Ava Terefencko (2 goals), Audrey Hutchinson (2 goals, 1 assist), Kylie Siket (2 goals, 2 assists) and Kassidy Fryer (2 goals, 1 assist) contributed to the balanced attack.
Ally Becker made two saves for the clean sheet in goal for Schuylkill Haven (3-0).

SHAMOKIN — Cohner O’Grady netted a second-half goal to lift Meadowbrook Christian over Lourdes in a non-league boys’ soccer match.
Nathan Yabonski made nine saves in goal for the Red Raiders (1-2).
Jim Thorpe 4, Schuylkill Haven 2
JIM THORPE — Grayson Fessler scored two goals for Schuylkill Haven, but the Hurricanes dropped a non-league match to Jim Thorpe.
Greyson Murphy assisted on one goal for Schuylkill Haven.
Blaze Flyzik sparked the Olympians with two goals and one assist.
Elliot Wehr made nine saves for the Hurricanes (1-4).
Jim Thorpe outshot Schuylkill Haven 13-3.
Cross Country
Mahanoy’s Bro tops locals at invite
DALLAS, Pa. — Mahanoy Area’s Felicia Bro ran 21:52 to place 15th in a field of 178 at the Cliff Robbins Invitational at Dallas High School.
Wellsboro’s Lauren Kosek won the race in 18:58.
On the boys’ side, Tamaqua’s Aidan Elston placed 21st in 17:55 and Marian’s Wade Eroh finished 28th in 18:27. Northwest Area’s Michael Fritz won the race in 16:07 among a field of 241 runners.
