LANSFORD — Jaedyn Bartholomew racked up 21 kills, 36 digs, one block and one ace Tuesday as Blue Mountain rallied from two sets to one down to defeat Panther Valley 20-25, 25-18, 24-26, 25-13, 15-9 in a Schuylkill League Division I girls’ volleyball match.
Panther Valley (12-1, 10-1 D-I) suffered its first loss of the season.
Bella Grasso added 50 assists, 21 digs and two aces for the Eagles (12-3, 8-3). Alexa Marshall posted 17 kills, 24 digs and three aces, while Tess Krasnay notched 35 digs, three assists and one ace.
For the Panthers, Morgan Orsulak led the way with 24 kills, 11 assists, three aces and two digs. JaeLynn Browdy posted 13 kills, 21 assists, 14 service points, two aces and three digs. Chloe Hadley made 10 blocks; Caroline Breslin had 15 digs and five blocks; and Madeline Schirer made 10 digs for the Panthers.
Panther Valley won JV 2-0.
Pottsville 3, Mahanoy Area 1
MAHANOY CITY — Anna Burke had 15 kills, 10 blocks and two aces as Pottsville rallied past Mahanoy Area 18-25, 25-23, 25-7, 25-13 in a Division I match.
Ava Schwartz added 20 digs and nine kills, while Ciera Kline made 13 digs for the Crimson Tide (11-4, 9-2 D-I).
For the Golden Bears (9-7, 4-7), Hailey Mroczka had 10 kills and 13 digs; Ava Kowalchick posted seven kills and four aces; and Samantha Price made 23 assists and five digs.
Mahanoy Area won JV 2-0.
Pine Grove 3, Tamaqua 0
PINE GROVE — Lily Flynn hit 18 kills and five aces to spark Pine Grove past Tamaqua 25-12, 25-14, 25-19 in a Division I match.
Payton Harris added 17 assists, six digs, three kills and two aces, while Graycie Griffiths made 12 digs for the Cardinals (9-7, 6-5 D-I).
Madison Schock paced Tamaqua (8-10, 2-9) with 10 assists, eight digs, three kills and three aces. Other top players for Tamaqua included Leah Black with five kills and seven digs, and Millie Black with seven digs and five kills.
Pine Grove won JV 2-0.
North Schuylkill 3, Lourdes 0
FOUNTAIN SPRINGS — Brigid Flynn posted three aces, five kills, four assists and six digs to lead North Schuylkill past Lourdes 25-7, 25-10, 25-20 in a Division I match.
Kyla Carado added six kills, while Lyza Holmes had nine digs and four aces and Carrah Hill chipped in two kills and four digs for the Spartans (6-6, 5-6 D-I).
For the Red Raiders (1-15, 0-11), Maggie McCarthy had seven kills and eight digs; Sophia Padula notched eight assists and two digs; and Bella Cherry made 15 digs.
North Schuylkill won JV 2-0.
Tri-Valley 3, Weatherly 0
HEGINS — Kylie Clemmer had 12 aces, 15 service points, two kills and two digs to lead Tri-Valley past Weatherly 25-6, 25-4, 25-5 in a Division II match.
Also for the Bulldogs (14-0, 11-0 D-II), Lexi Lesher posted 10 service points, five aces and four kills; Kenzie Tobin added 10 assists and four aces; Faith Melocheck hit nine kills; and Emma Moore tallied five kills.
For Weatherly (1-13, 0-11), Kelly Reiner had seven digs; Abigail Binder made two digs; and Abby Weston added two assists.
Nativity 3, Schuylkill Haven 1
POTTSVILLE — Finley McNamara had 13 kills, three aces and three blocks to power Nativity past Schuylkill Haven 25-9, 23-25, 25-23, 25-10 in a Division II match.
Addisan Ricard added 26 assists, five kills, six aces and nine digs for Nativity (8-6, 7-4 D-II). Other top players for Nativity included Morgan Howell with three assists, five aces and 10 digs; Amara Miller with nine digs, two kills and two assists; and Calista Wessner with six kills and five digs.
For the Hurricanes (5-9, 4-7), Lydia Hartz had eight assists and eight digs; Grace Line made 20 digs; and Riley Gothherdt chipped in three kills and four digs.
Schuylkill Haven won JV 2-0.
Marian 3, Williams Valley 0
HOMETOWN — Lara Cancio posted five kills, nine digs and two aces as Marian swept Williams Valley 25-18, 25-9, 25-16 in a Division II match.
JoElle Currie notched 20 assists and three digs, while Caydense Smith made eight digs for the Fillies (12-4, 9-2 D-II).
For the Vikings (7-7, 7-4), Gabrielle Duprez compiled four kills, two service points and seven digs; Emily Miller chipped in 17 digs and three aces; and Emma Reinoehl had six assists, four digs and two aces.
Marian won JV 2-0.
Shenandoah Valley 3, Minersville 0
SHENANDOAH — Ava Antz had 11 service points, seven kills, six aces, two assists and two blocks as Shenandoah Valley downed Minersville 25-11, 25-23, 25-18 in Division II action.
Danna Chagolla added eight kills, four blocks, three aces and seven service points, while Aubrie Monaghan contributed three kills, five digs, four aces and seven service points for the Blue Devils (6-8, 4-7 D-II).
For the Miners (2-15, 2-9), Caty Ilsley posted eight kills, five blocks and seven digs; Bella Cruz made seven assists and seven digs; and Eva Ladick made 15 digs.
Shenandoah Valley won JV 2-1.
