HS Football: 6 local teams earn home games for District 11 football playoffs

Six area high school football teams will begin their quests for District 11 gold on their home fields.

District 11 unveiled the official brackets for its football playoffs Sunday afternoon.

Thirteen of our area’s 16 teams qualified for the District 11 playoffs, with Marian (Class A), Schuylkill Haven (Class AA), Williams Valley (AA), Minersville (AA), North Schuylkill (AA) and Blue Mountain (AA) getting opening-round home games. Marian will be competing in the District 2/11 Class A subregional semifinals against Tri-Valley, while the other five teams will be hosting quarterfinal-round games in their respective classes.

All tickets for the District 11 football playoffs must be purchased online at events.hometownticketing.com/boxoffice/districtxi. All tickets are $7 plus applicable fees. No tickets will be sold at the gate. Spectators age 65 years of age and older are admitted free with proof of age. There are no refunds for any reason.
