HS Girls’ Volleyball: Dawgs lead All-District 11 selections
The Schuylkill League dominated the Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches’ Association Girls’ Volleyball all-District selections in Classes A, AA and 3A.
A total of 29 players were honored on those lists released recently.
District 11 Class A champion Tri-Valley led the way with five selections on the Class A squad.
Seniors Liv Lupole and Callie Melocheck and junior Kirra Klinger made the first team. Junior Lexi Lesher earned a spot on the second team, while senior Emma Moore received honorable mention.
Marian seniors Alena Lombardo and Isabella Horvat made the first team; junior Kali Grochowski made the second team; and senior Eris Hayes earned honorable mention.
Nativity junior Addisan Ricard completed the first team, while junior Finley McNamara and senior Morgan Howell made the second team.
In Class AA, District 11 champion Pine Grove had four selections: senior Molly Drumheller and junior Lily Flynn on the first team and juniors Graycie Griffiths and Payton Harris on the second team.
Mahanoy Area gained three selections: senior Hailey Mroczka and junior Ava Kowalchick on the first team and junior Naomi Kowalchick on the second team.
Williams Valley had two picks: junior Emily Miller on the first team and senior Naomi Carl on the second team.
Schuylkill Haven junior Lydia Hartz earned a spot on the second team.
In Class 3A, Panther Valley senior Morgan Orsulak and Blue Mountain senior Jaedyn Bartholomew made the first team.
Pottsville juniors Megan Yost and Anna Burke, along with Panther Valley junior JaeLynn Browdy, made the second team.
Panther Valley senior Caroline Breslin and North Schuylkill senior Kyla Carado received honorable mention.
