Vivian Reiprish, Lourdes girls' basketball

COAL TWP. — Vivian Reiprish led a balanced attack with nine points and nine rebounds as Lourdes outlasted Williams Valley 38-30 in a Schuylkill League Division II girls’ basketball clash of unbeatens Friday night at the Lee Korbich Gymnasium.

Kylla Sandri scored eight points, Hannah Lokitis and Sophia Karlovich tallied seven points and Lokitis pulled down 12 rebounds for Lourdes (5-0, 3-0 D-II), which built a 14-5 lead after one quarter to take control.

Presley Shomper scored a team-high 10 points and Ireland Kasper added nine for Williams Valley (4-1, 1-1), which did most of its damage from the perimeter with seven 3-pointers.

POTTSVILLE — Kylie Siket drained six 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 20 points as the Hurricanes downed the Crimson Tide in a Schuylkill League Division I game at Martz Hall.

Mckenna Runkle added 12 points for the Hurricanes, who outscored Pottsville 16-12 in the final frame to pull out the win.

Jo Barnhart scored a team-high 19 points for Pottsville, who trailed just 29-27 entering the final period.

Pine Grove 48, Panther Valley 45

LANSFORD — Lainey Fidler knocked down five 3-pointers and scored a game-high 22 points as the Cardinals held off the Panthers in a Schuylkill League Division I game.

Fidler scored all of her points in the first three quarters as Pine Grove built a 20-point lead, 42-22, heading into the fourth.

Panther Valley, however, staged a massive comeback, closing the game on a 23-6 run that made things interesting late. Pine Grove was held without a field goal over the final eight minutes, shooting 5-for-14 from the foul line to keep PV in the game.

Morgan Orsulak had 15 points and 12 rebounds for the Panthers, while Caroline Breslin chipped in 11 points.

FOUNTAIN SPRINGS — Mya Conti scored 11 of her game-high 19 points in a game-opening, 23-7 run as the Spartans rolled past the Miners in a Division I game at the Cesari-Hope Gymnasium.

Monica Selgrade added 10 points for North Schuylkill, which led 40-18 at intermission. Jenna Cullen tallied 14 points and Alayna Boom netted 12 for Minersville.

Black finished with 21 points and 11 rebounds while Ligenza tallied 14 points and 10 boards. The Blue Raiders used a 12-3 run to open the second half to pull away.
