Conti guides North Schuylkill girls past Shamokin
FOUNTAIN SPRINGS — Mya Conti poured in a game-high 26 points as unbeaten North Schuylkill defeated Shamokin 58-30 in a non-league girls’ basketball game Saturday night at the Cesari-Hope Gymnasium.
Conti scored 16 of her points in the middle quarters, where the Spartans outscored the Indians 37-18. North Schuylkill led 23-16 at halftime, then used a 22-7 run to blow the game open.

PINE GROVE — Callee Leffer scored nine of her 11 points in the first half as the Cardinals used a quick start to down the Cougars in a non-league game Saturday.
Leffler’s early effort helped Pine Grove build an 18-9 halftime lead. Lainey Fidler took over from there, scoring all 12 of her points in the second half to keep the Cards ahead.
Kendra Umbenhauer and Hollyn Sampson each added eight points for Pine Grove, which won its fourth straight.

TAMAQUA — Millie Black notched her second double-double in as many nights, leading the Blue Raiders past Northern Lehigh in a non-league contest Saturday afternoon.
Black finished with 13 points and 11 rebounds. She was one of three Tamaqua players to score in double figures as Kendle Miller led the way with 16 points and Lauren Ligenza added 11.
Ceanna Gormley pulled down 11 rebounds for Tamaqua, which pulled away in the fourth quarter, closing the game on a 16-6 run.

POTTSVILLE — Adam Klinger broke his own school and pool record in the 6-dive event as the Crimson Tide downed the Zephyrs in a non-league meet Saturday at the Ned Hampford Natatorium.
Klinger won diving with a new record with 297.55 points. Noah Bevan (50 free, 100 free) and Jamison Walsh (200 IM, 100 breast) each won two events for Pottsville (5-1), which swept the relays. John Mohl (100 fly) and Ashton Maroukis (100 back) added wins for the Tide.
