HS Girls’ Wrestling: Pine Grove places 4th at Jingle Bell Duals

YORK — Kiersen Echternach, Geanna Lemke and Rieleigh Purcell had undefeated records Sunday to lead Pine Grove to a fourth-place finish in the 12-team TWC Jingle Bell Battle Duals at York Suburban High School.

The Cardinals (6-2) went 4-2 on the day, defeating Red Lion (46-30), Northern Lebanon (46-24), Donegal (48-24) and Kennard-Dale (36-25). Pine Grove dropped duals to Manheim Township (33-26) and Souderton (40-29).

Echternach (100-106) had a 6-0 day that included five pins and one forfeit win. Lemke (148) went 6-0 with four falls, one technical fall and one decision. Purcell (190) also posted a 6-0 record, notching two forfeits, two pins, one technical fall and one major decision.

Lemke and Purcell improved their records to 8-0, while Echternacht upped her mark to 7-0.

Renee Eisenhauer (130-136) went 5-1 with all five of her victories pins; she raised her record to 6-1. Taylor Bast (136-142) had a 5-1 day with three falls and two forfeits as she improved to 7-1 on the season.

Autumn Martin (118) went 4-2 with four falls to improve her record to 6-2, while Samantha Eisenhauer (130) went 3-2 with two pins and one major decision to move to 5-2.
