Summer camps accept registrations

The following camps will be held for youngsters to improve their skills:
BASEBALL
Spartan Baseball Camp — Tuesday-Thursday, June 9-11, (rain date June 12) at North Schuylkill High School’s turf baseball and softball fields. For players entering grades 1-7 for the 2026-27 school year. The camp will run daily from 9 a.m. to noon. The fee is $80 (cash, check or venmo accepted). Make checks payable to Spartan Baseball Booster Club. Entry includes a T-shirt and instruction by North Schuylkill and Tamaqua coaching staff, along with current and former players. Campers should bring their own equipment, but no metal spikes, sunflower seeds or gum. To ensure a T-shirt size, register by May 26. To register, complete the Google form at bit.ly/4vBeqcM.
BASKETBALL
Minersville Girls’ Youth Basketball Camp — Monday-Wednesday, June 22-24, at Minersville Area High School’s gymnasium. For girls from any school district entering grades 3-8. The camp will run daily from 9 a.m. to noon. The fee is $60 per camper or $100 for a sister duo. For more information, contact coach Emily Mealey at emealey1999@outlook.com.

Tamaqua Lady Raider Basketball Camp — Tuesday-Thursday, July 7-9, at the Tamaqua Area Athletic Center. For girls entering grades 3-8 from any school district. The camp will run from 9-11;30 a.m. each day. For more information, contact coach Erika Davis at tamaqualadyraiders3@gmail.com.
