HS Baseball: Schuylkill Haven falls to Halifax

SCHUYLKILL HAVEN — Halifax broke things open late.
The Wildcats scored five runs over the final three innings to defeat Schuylkill Haven 8-3 in a non-league game Monday at Scott Buffington Field.
The Hurricanes jumped out to an early lead with two runs in the first inning, but Halifax answered with three runs over the next two frames to take control before pulling away late.
Halifax finished with 10 hits, led by Eli Miller and Ryder Tobias with three apiece, while Cooper Custer drove in two runs.
Schuylkill Haven totaled six hits, with Wyatt Gerber collecting two. Chase Yoder and Michael Terefencko each drove in a run.
On the mound, Halifax got a strong relief outing from Miller, who tossed four scoreless innings with four strikeouts.
