HS Softball: Tri-Valley clinches Division II championship

WEATHERLY — Myah Schwalm and Amber Lettich combined on a three-inning perfect game as Tri-Valley defeated Weatherly 16-0 on Friday in a Schuylkill League Division II softball game.
With the win, the Bulldogs clinched the Division II title and a bye into the semifinals of the Schuylkill League playoffs.
Schwalm pitched two innings and struck out four. Lettich struck out the side in her one inning of work.


Summer Cupsta sparked the Dawgs’ offense, going 3-for-3 with two triples, three runs scored and two RBIs.
Liv Witmer added a 3-for-4 day with two RBIs and a run scored, while Savanah Stiely doubled, knocked in a run and scored a run.
Schwalm helped herself at the plate by going 2-for-2 with three RBIs.
Kenzie Tobin went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs, while Liv Lupole went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
The result finalized the pairings for the Schuylkill League playoffs, which will be held May 10-16 at Blue Mountain’s Patton Field. The teams are listed below by division, place and record.

BLOOMSBURG — Arianna Adams went 2-for-2 with a run scored and a stolen base for Lourdes in a non-league loss to Bloomsburg.

Bella Cherry added a double, a run scored and an RBI for the Red Raiders.
Harper Faust went 2-for-4 with a triple, eight RBIs and three runs scored for Bloomsburg.
