Williams Valley’s rise from unranked to No. 1 is complete.

The District 11 Class AA champion Vikings sit atop the final T102 Sports Now Super 7 Football Poll in voting done by three T102 Sports Now writers and the broadcast anchors for WPPA and T-102. The Vikes were a unanimous pick, earning all five first-place votes.

Williams Valley was not ranked in the preseason poll, but was a fixture since beating Upper Dauphin in its opener and climbed as high as second in Week 10. The Vikings were No. 3 in the Week 12 poll, then defeated then-No. 1 Schuylkill Haven 28-13 to capture the District 11 Class AA championship in Week 13.

Williams Valley finished the season 12-2, falling 28-21 to Riverside in Saturday’s PIAA Class AA state quarterfinals.

Schuylkill Haven (11-2) finishes second with 29 points, followed by District 11 Class 3A runner-up North Schuylkill (8-4) in third with 26 points and District 11 Class 4A semifinalist Pottsville (6-6) in fourth with 20 points. Lehighton (5-7) takes fifth with 11 points, followed by Blue Mountain (7-4) in sixth with 9 points and Minersville (7-4) in seventh with 5 points.

District 11 Class A champion Tri-Valley and Eastern Conference Class III champion Tamaqua also received votes.
