Boys’ Basketball Roundup: Nativity’s Keating goes over 1,000 points in Division II win

POTTSVILLE — It was a celebratory night for Nativity junior Trey Keating.

Keating went over 1,000 career points totaling a game-high 30 points as the Hilltoppers rolled past Weatherly 81-69 in a Schuylkill League Division II boys’ basketball game Thursday atop Lawton’s Hill.

The junior shot 8-for-8 from the three throw line, hit two 3-pointers and 10 total buckets. Noah Dolbin poured on 20 points for Nativity, while Sam Walborn and Layne Pasker each added 10.

For the Wreckers, Corbin Wagner scored a team-high 22 points, Ian McKeegan netted 18 and Chance Stauffer chipped in 14.

Chase Baldwin chipped in 11 points for the Eagles, who nabbed their first win of the season.
