The top four teams are beginning to cement themselves in the T102 Sports 7 Boys’ Basketball Poll, while new teams join the ranks.

Mahanoy Area (14-0) remains unbeaten through the regular season and stays put on top. Minersville and Tri-Valley stay in the respective spots, No. 2 and No. 4, after collecting three straight wins last week. Pottsville remains at No. 3 after falling to the Golden Bears 62-47 on Tuesday, Dec. 7, in a game where the Crimson Tide threatened at times.

Marian (7-6) and Nativity (6-7) make their debuts at No. 5 and No. 7, respectively. Marian started the week on a low after falling to Williams Valley 51-40, but rebounded with a win over Shenandoah Valley 59-43 and final seconds win over Blue Mountain 48-47. The Hilltoppers collected league wins over the Blue Devils and Lourdes, before dropping a non-league contest to Minersville.

A team to keep close on eyes that may find a spot soon is Weatherly (6-5), who travels to Hometown to play Marian for a Schuylkill League Division II game on Tuesday. The Wreckers and Colts are fighting for postseason contention in both the league and District 11 Class A.
