MOUNT CARMEL — Megan O’Brien hit a grand slam and finished with five RBIs to power Panther Valley to a 14-4 victory over Lourdes on Monday in Schuylkill League Division I softball action.

Brooklyn Mika also had a big day for the Panthers, going 3-for-3 with a triple, three RBIs and four runs scored. Other top hitters for Panther Valley included Kyla McQuillen, 2-for-4, two runs and one RBI; Caroline Breslin, 2-for-4, two RBIs and one run; Janessa Prudente, 1-for-1 with a triple, two runs and one RBI; and Morgan O’Brien, a triple and two runs scored.

Panther Valley scored in every inning, building a 9-3 lead after three frames.

Prudente went the distance in the circle, allowing five hits and striking out six.

For Lourdes, Gabby Dusendschine went 2-for-3 with a triple, two RBIs and one run scored.
