Rain washes out 3 District 11 championship games

Chalk up another victory for Mother Nature in the District 11 playoffs.

Once again, persistent rain has forced the postponement of the games on Wednesday’s schedule.

Here’s what we have for make-up dates:

DISTRICT 11 BASEBALL

Class AA Championship — Tri-Valley (18-6) vs. Schuylkill Haven (18-4), ppd. to 5/29, 2 p.m. at Blue Mountain. (WPPA will broadcast the game live, with Eli Doyle on play by play and Del Hauck on color commentary.)

Class 4A Championship — NW Lehigh (19-5) vs. Tamaqua (21-1), ppd. to 5/29, 1 p.m. at North Schuylkill.

DISTRICT 11 SOFTBALL

Class 3A Championship — Palisades (20-3) vs. Pine Grove (22-2), ppd. to 5/29, noon at Blue Mountain.
