The rainy weather that has settled in over Schuylkill County this past weekend and Monday forced the Schuylkill County Teener League to change its Junior Division playoff tournament.

The league switched the bracket to a strictly single-elimination format after three of Monday’s four scheduled opening-round games were postponed by rain and wet grounds. One game was played — Pine Grove blanked Mrs. T’s 15-0.

The tournament will feature seven opening-round games Tuesday (weather permitting) after which the remaining teams will be reseeded. Quarterfinals are set for Friday, June 20, with the semifinals to be held Monday, June 23. The final two teams will then play a best-of-3 series to determine the overall champion, with those games scheduled for Wednesday-Friday, June 23-25.
