The best matchup among Class AA high school football teams in Pennsylvania this weekend will occur in Williamstown, Dauphin County.

Schuylkill Haven (5-0) remained No. 1 in this week’s PennLive.com state rankings after Thursday’s 48-38 victory over Minersville. The Hurricanes will put that ranking on the line this Friday when they travel to No. 3 Williams Valley (5-0), which also stayed unbeaten with a 14-7 win over backyard rival Tri-Valley.

Haven and Williams Valley are among five Schuylkill League schools listed in the weekly state polls put together by Eric Epler of PennLive.com. North Schuylkill (3-2) climbed one spot to No. 7 in Class 3A, while Marian (5-0) remained No. 10 in the Class A poll and Minersville (3-2) is listed as a Team to Watch in Class AA.

Also of note, Southern Lehigh (5-0), which defeated Pottsville 35-17 on Friday, climbed to No. 1 in Class 4A. In Class 3A, Northwestern Lehigh (5-0) remained at No. 2 while Notre Dame-Green Pond (4-0) stayed at No. 4.
