Schuylkill Haven remained atop the T102SportsNow.com Super 7 high school football poll this week … barely.

The Hurricanes upended Nativity in dramatic fashion Friday night, scoring with 1.7 seconds remaining to pull out a 29-28 victory at Rotary Field. The win was the eighth straight for Schuylkill Haven (8-1), which closes the regular season Friday at Tri-Valley.

Schuylkill Haven received five first-place votes in voting done by three T102SportsNow.com writers and the broadcast anchors for WPPA and T-102.

Williams Valley (8-1) and North Schuylkill (6-3) remained 2-3 in the poll after easy victories Friday. Pottsville (5-4) was the biggest mover, climbing from No. 7 to No. 4 with its 28-14 win over Blue Mountain in the Clash of 61. Minersville (6-3), Blue Mountain (6-3) and Nativity (6-3) round out this week’s Super 7.
