BARNESVILLE — A Pine Grove junior varsity golfer shot a hole-in-one Friday while competing in a tri-match with Panther Valley and Minersville at White Birch Golf Course.

Kaiden Umbenhauer aced the par-4 No. 8 on the Executive Course at White Birch. The shot was witnessed by the other players in his group and a coach.

In the varsity match, Pine Grove earned a sweep of the tri-meet, beating Minersville 334-361 in their Schuylkill League Division II match and topping Panther Valley 334-378 in a non-league match. Minersville outlasted Panther Valley 361-378.

Austin Frantz paced all golfers with a 7-over 76 for Pine Grove, while Garrett Sukeena carded a 79 for Minersville and Cameron Cooper’s 86 led Panther Valley.
