POTTSVILLE — Lexi Waschko netted two goals as Blue Mountain defeated Pottsville on Wednesday in a Schuylkill League Division I girls’ soccer first-place showdown at Alumni Field.
Reegan Spangler added a pair of assists for the Eagles (9-2, 9-0 D-I), who led 3-0 at halftime. Kelly Canfield and Hailey Scheuer scored single goals for Blue Mountain, while Canfield picked up an assist.
Karley Koch made two saves to earn the shutout in goal. Julie Stock stopped 10 shots for the Crimson Tide (7-5, 7-2).
Schuylkill Haven 5, Minersville 0
SCHUYLKILL HAVEN — Taylor Haag and Audrey Hutchinson had two goals and one assist apiece to lead Schuylkill Haven past Minersville in a Schuylkill League Division II first-place showdown at Rotary Field.
Madison Bayer netted the other goal for the Hurricanes (8-3-1, 6-0-1 D-II), who led 2-0 at halftime. Ava Terefencko assisted on Haag’s first goal at 16:39 to put Schuylkill Haven up 1-0. Haag converted unassisted at 33:42 to double the advantage at intermission.
Ally Becker made three saves to post the shutout in goal. Bella Rizzardi made 16 saves for Minersville (9-2-2, 4-1-1).
Pine Grove 1, Tamaqua 0
TAMAQUA — Danielle High netted the match’s only goal just 1:41 into the second half as Pine Grove edged Tamaqua in Division I action.
Kendra Umbenhauer assisted on the goal for the Cardinals (6-5-1, 5-4 D-I).
Alyssa Moyer made four saves to notch the shutout in goal. Ceanna Gormley made 13 saves for Tamaqua (5-6, 3-5).
In other matches, North Schuylkill defeated Marian 5-0 in Division I action, and Lourdes blanked Weatherly 3-0 in Division II.

Pine Grove 10, Marian 0
HOMETOWN — Tanner Kolb racked up five goals and one assist to lead Pine Grove to a win over Marian in the completion of a Division I match that was suspended Sept. 23.
The teams played about 10 scoreless minutes Tuesday before inclement weather forced the suspension. When the teams picked up at that point Wednesday, Pine Grove (10-3, 6-2 D-I) started scoring in bunches to lead 6-0 at halftime.
Terrin Witmer added two goals and one assist for the Cardinals. Brady Gehres, Adam Kassab and Grayling Kimmel netted single goals.
Dru Herber made one save to post the shutout in goal. Damien Gall stopped 13 shots for Marian (1-9, 0-6).
Shenandoah Valley 2, Schuylkill Haven 0
SCHUYLKILL HAVEN — Chris Meza and Carlos Meza scored one goal apiece as Shenandoah Valley topped Schuylkill Haven in a key Division II match Tuesday.
Caleb Campos made two saves to record the shutout for the Blue Devils (8-6, 5-2 D-II). Elliot Wehr stopped three shots for the Hurricanes (5-6, 4-3).
