BOYS’ SOCCER

Pine Grove 3, North Schuylkill 0

PINE GROVE — Terrin Witmer assisted on a pair of goals as Pine Grove topped North Schuylkill on Wednesday in a Schuylkill League Division I boys’ soccer match.

Tanner Kolb and Ian Brown netted goals for the Cardinals (13-3, 9-2 D-I). PGA’s other score was an own goal off a corner kick.

Peyton Renninger made four saves to post the shutout in goal for the Cardinals. Braiden Davis stopped five shots for the Spartans (5-10, 3-7).

North Schuylkill won the JV match 1-0.

Blue Mountain 5, Pottsville 1

POTTSVILLE — Drew Waschko tallied three goals and one assist to lead Blue Mountain to a Division I victory over Pottsville at Alumni Field.

Keenan Hall added two goals for the Eagles (13-3, 10-0 D-I). Luke Grasso dished out two assists for Blue Mountain.

After Waschko scored his first goal, Brody Hess equalized as the Crimson Tide (6-8-1, 4-6) went to halftime in a 1-1 tie.

Caden Wargo made one save for the Eagles; Landon Trout stopped 16 shots for Pottsville.

Lourdes 9, Marian 0

SHAMOKIN — Owen Ramirez notched three goals and one assist to propel Lourdes to a Division I victory over Marian.

Majed Kanafani added two goals and one assist for the Red Raiders (8-7, 6-4 D-I). Gabe Palmer had one goal and one assist for Lourdes.

Nathan Yablonski made one save in goal for the Red Raiders; Isa Gjoca stopped 10 shots for Marian (2-11, 0-8).

In another game, Blue Mountain remained undefeated in league play by defeating Pottsville 5-1 in a Division I match.
