Defending Schuylkill League champion Schuylkill Haven and 2024-25 PIAA Class A state semifinalist Lourdes top their respective divisions in the 2025-26 T102SportsNow.com Schuylkill League Girls’ Basketball Preseason Coaches Poll.

The poll was conducted through voting done by the Schuylkill League girls’ basketball coaches at Sunday’s preseason media day. Only seven teams voted in the Division II poll as Weatherly was absent.

In the Division I poll, Schuylkill Haven garnered four of eight first-place votes and finished with 57 points. The Hurricanes return three starters from last year’s squad that finished 23-7 overall and defeated North Schuylkill 38-31 for their first-ever Schuylkill League title. Schuylkill Haven was the District 11 Class 3A runner-up and reached the second round of the PIAA playoffs before falling to Pequea Valley.

Defending Division I champion North Schuylkill was second with two first-place votes and 55 points, with Tamaqua in third with one first-place vote and 43 points. Pine Grove earned the other first-place vote and was fourth with 39 points. Blue Mountain (36 points), Pottsville (26), Panther Valley (18) and Minersville (14) round out the Division I poll.

Lourdes sits atop the Division II poll, compiling four first-place votes and 51 points. The Red Raiders return four starters from last year’s 23-7 club that lost to Schuylkill Haven in the Schuylkill League quarterfinals, then ripped off six straight postseason wins. Lourdes beat Northumberland Christian, Meadowbrook Christian and Millville to win the District 4 Class A title, then topped Veritas Academy, Bethlehem Christian and Delco Christian in the PIAA Class A playoffs before falling to Linville Hill in the state semifinals.

Defending District 11 Class AA champion and fellow PIAA qualifier Williams Valley was second in the Division II poll with two first-place votes and 47 points. Mahanoy Area was third with 41 points, with PIAA qualifier Marian in fourth with one first-place vote and 34 points.

Tri-Valley (30 points), Shenandoah Valley (25), Nativity (15) and Weatherly (9) round out the Division II poll.
