Fritz garners 1st win as Pottsville coach
CATAWISSA RR — A quick start helped Pottsville give Damian Fritz a victory in his first game as the Crimson Tide’s head coach.
Jes Siminitus paced a balanced attack with a team-high 10 points as Pottsville edged Southern Columbia 31-29 on Monday in the Tide’s season opener.
Siminitus had six points in the second quarter as Pottsville built a 20-9 lead at intermission. The Tigers mounted a second-half comeback, but the Tide did just enough to pull out the victory.
