HS Sports: Snow wipes out Tuesday’s schedule

Well, that didn’t take long.
Just five days into the regular season, a winter storm postponed Tuesday’s basketball, wrestling and swimming slate across the Schuylkill League.
Several games have been rescheduled for Wednesday.
They include:
***Boys’ Basketball — Schuylkill Valley at Tamaqua, 7 p.m.; and Lourdes at Benton, 7:15 p.m.
***Girls’ Basketball — Nativity at Bethlehem Christian, 5 p.m.; Panther Valley at Mahanoy Area, 7 p.m.; and Pine Grove at Schuylkill Valley, 7 p.m.
***Boys’ Wrestling — Executive Education at Schuylkill Haven, 6:45 p.m.; and Schuylkill Valley at Pine Grove, 7 p.m.
***Girls’ Wrestling — Schuylkill Valley at Pine Grove, 6 p.m.
***Boys’ and Girls’ Swimming — Tamaqua at Mahanoy Area has been changed to Mahanoy Area at Tamaqua, 4:30 p.m. due to mechanical issues with Mahanoy Area’s pool. As a result, the Jan. 8 rematch will be Tamaqua at Mahanoy Area.
