Blue Mountain sweeps Marian in Schuylkill League dual

ORWIGSBURG — Senior Gabe Kamarousky became the latest Blue Mountain boys’ swimmer to reach the 1,000-point plateau Monday during the Eagles’ 112-38 victory over Marian in a Schuylkill League dual meet at the Glen Belmont Natatorium.

Kamarousky placed second in the 50-yard freestyle and second in the 100 freestyle, then anchored Blue Mountain’s winning 200 freestyle relay.

Aidan Varney (100 free, 100 back) won two events for Blue Mountain (6-0, 5-0 SL), while Brody Moyer (200 free), Liam Magdeburg (500 free) and Porter Sarnes (100 breast) added victories.

Marian’s Michael Strucko won a pair of featured races, beating Sarnes in the 200 IM and edging Moyer in the 100 fly. Andrew Metters (50 free) added a win for the Colts (1-4, 1-3.)
