HS Boys’ Wrestling: Schuylkill Haven falls to Northern Lehigh

SLATINGTON — Dylan Benulis (121), Jack Krammes (145) and Niko Carestia (215) posted pins for Schuylkill Haven in a 44-28 loss to Northern Lehigh on Monday in a non-league boys’ wrestling dual meet.
Benulis stuck Javian Mercado in 2:53; Krammes flattened Zach Gosart in 2:25; and Carestia stopped Dawson Newhard in 1:43. Krammes improved to 8-2 on the season; Carestia moved to 2-0 for the Hurricanes (2-3).
Northern Lehigh (2-2) got falls from Noah Gosart (114), Conner Whalen (127) and Andrew Rudolph (133).
At 285, Schuylkill Haven’s Triston Davis earned a 13-5 major decision over Isaac Jackovitz. Davis improved his record to 7-3.
