HS Swimming Roundup: Blue Raiders rally past Haven for boys’ dual-meet win

Tamaqua places 1-2 in 400 free relay to grab 72-69 win
SCHUYLKILL HAVEN — Tamaqua needed a victory in the final event to edge Schuylkill Haven in a Schuylkill League boys’ swimming dual meet Tuesday.
The Blue Raiders did one better … they swept the top two spots.
Tamaqua used a 1-2 finish in the meet’s final event, the 400-yard freestyle, to grab a 72-69 victory over the Hurricanes.
Thomas Graham (50 free, 100 free) won two events for Tamaqua (3-8, 3-4 SL), which avenged an 81-46 loss to the Hurricanes earlier this season. Brandon Temarantz (200 IM), Billy Coombe (500 free) and William Behun (100 back) added individual wins for the Blue Raiders.
Ethan Miller (100 fly, 100 breast) won twice for Schuylkill Haven (4-6, 3-4), which led 67-62 entering the last event. Bruce Stine (200 free) and Colton McClusky (diving) added wins for the Hurricanes.
