HS Girls’ Basketball: Minersville downs Halifax

MINERSVILLE — Jenna Cullen shined on Minersville’s Girls Youth Night on Wednesday.
Cullen, a junior, scored a game-high 10 points as the Battlin’ Miners defeated Halifax 28-24 in a non-league contest at the Thomas Fitzpatrick Gymnasium.
Cullen scored seven of her 10 points in the second half, helping Minersville pull away after trailing 15-14 at halftime.
Rilynn Brennan added six points and Alayna Boom chipped in five as the Miners made enough plays down the stretch to secure the victory.
