CATAWISSA — Southern Columbia did its damage early.
The Tigers got into the ball early and never looked back in a 7-2 non-league win over Tri-Valley on Friday.
Southern Columbia scored in each of the first three innings, building a 7-0 lead behind a balanced offensive attack and timely extra-base hits.
Ethan Makowski and Kole Myers keyed the surge with run-scoring triples, while Andrew Novak added an RBI single as Southern Columbia finished with 10 hits.
Tri-Valley got on the board late with a solo home run from Jason Stewart and an RBI single by Owen Miller, who also had two hits, but couldn’t overcome the early deficit.
