HS Softball: Tri-Valley rolls past Weatherly

HEGINS — Amber Lettich pitched a no-hitter to lead Tri-Valley to a 10-0 victory over Weatherly in five innings Wednesday in Schuylkill League Division II softball action.
Lettich struck out eight and walked two in the gem.
Liv Lupole sparked a balanced offense by going 2-for-3 with a triple and a run scored. Summer Cupsta doubled, drove in two runs and scored one. Alina Leonard singled with three RBIs and two runs scored.
Myah Schwalm added a 2-for-4 day with an RBI for the Bulldogs.

MAHANOY CITY — Chelcy Clark tossed a one-hit shutout, striking out five and walking one, to lead Pine Grove Area to a Division I win over Mahanoy Area.
Clark helped herself with a 2-for-2 day and an RBI at the plate.


Callee Leffler held one of the big bats for the Cardinals, going 2-for-2 with a double, a home run, five RBIs and three runs scored. Meadow Umbenhauer went 2-for-2 with a double, a home run, three RBIs and two runs scored.
Other top hitters for Pine Grove Area included Hannah Aungst, 2-for-3, a triple, three RBIs and three runs; Jamie Dinger, 2-for-3, a double and a run scored; and Khloe Jessman, 2-for-3, two RBIs and one run.

HALIFAX — Liv Hand struck out 10 in 5.1 innings of strong relief to lead Williams Valley past Halifax in a non-league game. Hand also singled and drove in two runs.
The teams last met in the PIAA Class AA round of 16 last season, with the Vikings taking a 3-0 victory.


Delaney Bixler and Kamri Koppenhaver sparked a balanced offensive attack. Bixler went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored, while Koppenhaver went 2-for-4 with a triple, two runs and two RBIs.
Seven Vikings had at least one hit. Cierra Brill went 2-for-4 with a run scored, and Mallory Mace singled, knocked in two runs and scored one.
Losing pitcher Bebe Roland went 2-for-2 with two runs scored for the Wildcats, who led 2-0 after the first inning.

OLEY — Alli Scherer recorded her 200th career strikeout as Schuylkill Haven dumped Oley Valley in a non-league game for its fifth straight victory.
Scherer pitched a complete game, striking out 12 and walking none. She allowed four hits and one earned run. Scherer helped herself by hitting a triple and scoring twice.


Joie Schoffstall had another big game for the Hurricanes, going 2-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored. Aisley Jenan finished 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run and one RBI.
Danica Snyder went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI, while Braelynn Strenkoski went 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Eight Hurricanes posted at least one hit.
