Northwestern Lehigh, Notre Dame-Green Pond, Saucon Valley and Schuylkill Haven grabbed No. 1 spots in the inaugural T102SportsNow.com Schuylkill/Colonial Football Cooperative Preseason Coaches’ Poll.

Northwestern Lehigh tops the big-school Red Division poll. The Tigers earned five first-place votes and 77 points to edge second-place Southern Lehigh, which garnered two first-place votes and 71 points. North Schuylkill was third with one first-place vote and 63 points, with Blue Mountain fourth with one first-place vote and 59 points.

Notre Dame-Green Pond and Saucon Valley tied for first place in the White Division (Colonial) coaches’ poll with 69 points. NDGP tallied five first-place votes, with the other first-place votes going to Northern Lehigh, Catasauqua, Salisbury and Wilson. Northern Lehigh was third in the poll with 61 points, with Palisades (48) and Catasauqua (37) rounding out the top five.

Schuylkill Haven dominated the Blue Division (Schuylkill) voting with seven first-place votes and 96 out of 100 possible points. Minersville was second with one first-place vote and 83 points, followed by Williams Valley (1 first-place vote, 71 points) and Tri-Valley (1 first-place vote, 65 points). Marian and Nativity tied for fifth with 62 points.
