BARNESVILLE — Sam Vinc’s high school debut was a successful one Friday as he shot a 4-over-par 76 to lead Tamaqua to a 367-428 Schuylkill League Division I golf victory over Panther Valley at Mountain Valley.
Blue Mountain opened its season with a 337-363 win over North Schuylkill at Mountain Valley. Owen Crossen paced the Eagles with a 79, while North Schuylkill’s Jude Maziekas took medalist honors with a 74.
Trey Keating carded a 73 and Stephen Karinch had a 79 as Nativity improved to 2-0 with a 322-360 win over Minersville. Carter Grant’s 73 paced Marian to a 316-364 win over Weatherly.
