HS Boys’ Soccer: Muhlenberg rallies past Blue Mountain

Saturday’s non-league boys’ soccer results

LAURELDALE — Dylan Knittle netted two goals for Blue Mountain, but Muhlenberg nipped the Eagles 4-3 in a non-league match.

Knittle, assisted by Drew Waschko, and Aidan Varney, assisted by Blake Batory, gave Blue Mountain a 2-0 lead in the first half. After Muhlenberg rallied to tie the match 2-2, Knittle scored off a Waschko assist to put the Eagles up 3-2.

Back came Muhlenberg, scoring the equalizer later in the second half, then converting the game-winner on a penalty kick with 5:25 remaining in the match.

In JV action, the teams played to a 2-2 tie.
