HS Girls’ Soccer: Pottsville falls to Wilson West Lawn

POTTSVILLE — Riley Davis scored a pair of goals for Pottsville, but Wilson West Lawn had too much firepower and gained a non-league girls’ soccer victory Friday.
Ava Mischler sparked the Bulldogs’ offense, scoring four goals. Izzy Soto added one goal and two assists for Wilson.
Two goals by Mischler and one by Soto gave Wilson a 3-0 lead 20:38 into the match.
Back came Pottsville (2-2). Davis connected at 22:01 off an assist from Jes Siminitus to get the Crimson Tide on the board. Just 33 seconds later, Davis struck again, assisted by Teagan Hart, to make it 3-2 at halftime. Mischler scored twice in the second half to help Wilson pull away.
Wilson outshot Pottsville 23-4.
Rose Russell made 18 saves for the Tide; Alana Keller made two saves for the Bulldogs.
Wilson won the JV match 2-0.
