Blue Mountain 5, North Schuylkill 1

FOUNTAIN SPRINGS — Kelly Caulfield and Hailey Scheuer netted two goals apiece as Blue Mountain used a big first half to defeat North Schuylkill on Thursday in a Schuylkill League Division I match.

Gianna Chipriano added one goal and three assists for the Eagles (7-1, 7-0 D-I), who led 4-0 at halftime. Reegan Spangler tallied one assist for Blue Mountain.

Mylee Bindie scored a goal for the Spartans (4-7, 4-3).

Alanza Smith and Karley Koch played in goal for Blue Mountain.

Pottsville 8, Marian 0

POTTSVILLE — Jes Siminitus, Alexa Giuffre and Bella Wright notched two goals and one assist apiece as Pottsville shut out Marian in a Division I match.

Mya McGeoy and Julie Stock added one goal apiece for the Crimson Tide (6-4, 6-1 D-I), who led 4-0 at halftime. Riley Davis, Teagan Hart, Karlee Kalovcak, Emma Quirin-Morris and Emily Steidle dished out one assist each.

Pottsville outshot Marian 31-0, with Lucy Dougherty and Rose Russell sharing the shutout in goal. Carly Green made 23 saves for the Fillies (1-8, 0-7).

Pine Grove 8, Shenandoah Valley 0

PINE GROVE — Gianna Pompei had two goals and two assists to spark Pine Grove to a Division I victory over Shenandoah Valley.

Aubrey Aungst netted two goals, while Ana Voydik, Solana Rodriguez, Mya May and Kendra Umbenhauer scored one each for the Cardinals (4-4-1, 4-3 D-I). Pine Grove led 4-0 at halftime.

Danielle High and Voydik added one assist each for the Cardinals.

Pine Grove outshot Marian 25-0. Alyssa Moyer didn’t need to make a save to post the shutout in goal for the Cardinals. Samantha Krusinsky made 17 saves for the Blue Devils (3-6, 1-6).

BOYS

Blue Mountain 3, Notre Dame-Green Pond 0

ORWIGSBURG — Aidan Varney scored two goals to lead Blue Mountain to a non-league win over Notre Dame-Green Pond.

Varney, assisted by Sean Gaddy, got the scoring started in the first half. Also before halftime, Blake Batory found the back of the net off an assist from Hayden Freed. The Eagles (9-2) led 2-0 at intermission.

Varney, again assisted by Gaddy, made it 3-0 in the second half.

Blue Mountain led 10-2 in shots on goal. Caden Wargo made two saves for Blue Mountain; Mark Perone stopped seven shots for NDGP (7-4).

Northumberland Christian 8, Williams Valley 0

WILLIAMSTOWN — Noah Connor scored two goals for Northumberland Christian in a non-league win over Williams Valley.

Gavin Birkett started the scoring in the third minute for Northumberland Christian (9-1). Noah Connor, Chase Connor, Chris Eroh, Liam Zwatty, Ethan Bennett and Owen Rees all scored in the first 18 minutes to build a 7-0 halftime lead.

Xzavion Tennis made 29 saves for Williams Valley (2-8). Landon Snyder stopped five shots for Northumberland Christian.
