HS Girls’ Volleyball: Tri-Valley wins Division II showdown against Marian

Tri-Valley 3, Marian 1
HEGINS — Liv Lupole compiled 20 kills, four aces, three digs and nine service points to lead Tri-Valley past Marian 25-17, 21-25, 25-15, 25-13 on Thursday in a Schuylkill League Division I first-place showdown.
Kirra Klinger added 31 digs, three aces, seven service points and four assists for the Bulldogs (11-0, 8-0 D-II). Emma Moore contributed eight kills and four service points, while Faith Melocheck tallied 13 kills, five digs and two aces for Tri-Valley.
Isabella Horvat led Marian with 12 digs. Maddy Davis notched five kills, while Alena Lombardo posted seven kills and four blocks for the Fillies (7-3, 6-2).
Tri-Valley won JV 2-0.
Pottsville 3, Tamaqua 0
TAMAQUA — Rhyan Brennan posted 10 kills, 11 digs, five aces and one block to power Pottsville past Tamaqua 25-19, 25-12, 25-13 in a Division I match.
Ava Schwartz added 12 kills, six digs and two blocks, while Megan Yost compiled 38 assists, five digs, two aces, one kill and one block for the Crimson Tide (7-4, 6-2 D-I).
Leah Black led Tamaqua (5-7, 1-7) with 17 digs and six kills. Other top players for the Blue Raiders included Madison Schock with 16 assists, nine digs, three kills and two aces; Millie Black with 16 digs and seven kills; Isadora Neifers with three kills and two digs; Kelsey Lusch with seven digs and three aces; and Kendle Miller with four digs and two kills.
Blue Mountain 3, Lourdes 0
ORWIGSBURG — Jaedyn Bartholomew posted 10 kills, five aces and three digs as Blue Mountain cruised past Lourdes 25-6, 25-7, 25-11 in Division I action.
Alexa Marshall contributed 11 aces, three kills and three digs, while Rachel Moyer had four kills and five digs for the Eagles (9-2, 6-2 D-I).
For Lourdes (1-12, 0-8), Bella Cherry made nine digs; Maggie McCarthy had three digs; and Bella Hudick chipped in two kills and two digs.
Blue Mountain won JV 2-0.
Williams Valley 3, Weatherly 1
WEATHERLY — Emma Reinoehl had 25 assists, seven digs and two aces as Williams Valley topped Weatherly 25-18, 24-26, 25-15, 25-10 in a Division II match.
Emily Miller compiled 31 digs, seven aces, three kills and two service points, while Naomi Carl tallied 13 aces, three digs and two service points for the Vikings (5-4, 5-3 D-II).
For Weatherly (1-10, 0-8), Abby Weston had 14 assists, nine digs, three service points and two aces; Abigail Binder made 28 digs and had four service points; and Kelly Reiner posted five service points, nine digs and four kills.
Nativity 3, Bethlehem Christian 2
BETHLEHEM — Finley McNamara had nine kills, five digs and two aces as Nativity outlasted Bethlehem Christian 17-25, 25-21, 25-20, 23-25, 15-12 in a non-league match.
Janelle Ziegmont added 12 digs and eight kills; Kylah Stewart hit five kills; and Morgan Howell made 27 digs for Nativity (7-4).
Bethlehem Christian dropped to 9-3 with the loss.
