Thursday’s girls’ volleyball results

Tri-Valley 3, Nativity 0

HEGINS — Callie Melocheck posted her 2,000th career assist as Tri-Valley swept Nativity 25-5, 25-17, 25-19 on Thursday in a Schuylkill League Division II girls’ volleyball match.

Melocheck finished with 33 assists, eight digs and two kills for the Bulldogs (13-0, 10-0 D-II). Others contributing for the Dawgs inlcuded Kirra Klinger with five aces, 14 digs and 14 service points; Liv Lupole with 17 kills, five digs, nine service points and two aces; Aub Zimmerman with five kills and two digs; and Faith Melocheck with nine kills and six digs.

For Nativity (7-6, 6-4), Finley McNamara had seven kills, three aces and two blocks; Addison Ricard added 12 assists and five digs; and Janelle Ziegmont chipped in seven digs and four kills.

Tri-Valley won JV 2-0.

Panther Valley 3, Pine Grove 0

PINE GROVE — JaeLynn Browdy racked up 15 kills, 10 assists and seven digs as Panther Valley downed Pine Grove 25-17, 25-19, 25-12 in a Division I match.

Caroline Breslin notched 11 digs and five kills; Morgan Orsulak compiled nine kills, 13 assists, four aces and seven digs; and Chloe Hadley made seven blocks for the Panthers (11-0, 10-0 D-I).

Panther Valley won JV 2-1.

Blue Mountain 3, Tamaqua 0

TAMAQUA — Jaedyn Bartholmew had 14 kills, seven digs and four aces to lead Blue Mountain past Tamaqua 25-7, 25-22, 25-17 in a Division I match.

Alexa Marshall added 10 digs and seven kills, while Jess Krasnay made 23 digs and hit two aces for the Eagles (10-3, 7-3 D-I).

Madison Schock had 10 assists, two aces, seven digs and three kills for the Blue Raiders (7-8, 2-8). Other top players for Tamaqua included Leah Black with 11 digs and four kills; Isadora Neifert with three digs and four kills; Millie Black with two aces, 10 digs and seven kills; and Kelsey Lusch with eight assists and three digs.

Blue Mountain won JV 2-0.

Pottsville 3, Lourdes 0

POTTSVILLE — Maggie Brennan had five kills, five digs and two aces as Pottsville swept Lourdes 25-8, 25-12, 25-9 in a Division I match.

Gianna LaSelva added tw0 kills, one block and one ace, while Olivia Pacovsky hit three kills for the Crimson Tide (9-4, 8-2 D-I).

For the Red Raiders (1-14, 0-10), Bella Cherry made 12 digs; Maddie Wertman hit three kills; and Margo Yablonski had three assists and two aces.

Pottsville won JV 2-0.

North Schuylkill 3, Mahanoy Area 2

MAHANOY CITY — Kyla Carado had 24 kills and seven blocks to help North Schuylkill outlast Mahanoy Area 25-21, 25-22, 12-25, 13-25, 17-15 in a Division I match.

Raven Marlow added 34 assists and four digs, while Emily Walsh contributed six kills and two blocks for the Spartans (4-6, 4-6 D-I). Other top players for North Schuylkill included Lyza Holmes with 10 digs and four aces; Carissa Ossman with nine digs; Lauren Powis with 11 digs, three kills and two assists; Carrah Hill with 11 digs; and Brigid Flynn with 11 digs, three kills and two aces.

The Golden Bears fell to 8-6 overall, 4-6 in Division I.

Mahanoy Area won JV 2-0.

Marian 3, Shenandoah Valley 0

HOMETOWN — Isabella Horvat notched seven kills, 11 digs and three aces to power Marian past Shenandoah Valley 25-4, 25-9, 25-13 in a Division II match.

Eris Hayes added 12 assists, five digs, four aces and two kills for the Fillies (9-3, 8-2 D-II). Other top players for Marian included Caydense Smith with nine aces and four digs, and Kali Grochowski with six kills and six digs.

For the Blue Devils (4-8, 3-7), Ava Antz had four kills, four digs and three assists; Aubrie Monaghan notched eight digs and two kills; and Brianna Tufts made nine digs.

Marian won JV 2-0.

Schuylkill Haven 3, Weatherly 0

WEATHERLY — Lydia Hartz posted 20 assists and three aces to lead Schuylkill Haven to a Division II victory over Weatherly.

Hannah Nelson added seven kills and three aces, and Riley Gotthardt chipped in seven aces and two digs for the Hurricanes (4-8, 3-6 D-II).

For the Wreckers (1-12, 0-10), Abby Weston had 16 assists and two service points; Abigail Binder compiled three service points, four kills and four digs; and Kelly Reiner posted 10 digs, three service points, two aces and three kills.

Williams Valley 3, Minersville 0

TOWER CITY — Gabrielle Duprez had seven kills, four blocks and 10 digs as Williams Valley defeated Minersville 25-10, 25-16, 25-13 in Division II action.

Emily Miller notched 16 digs, five aces and four service points, while Emma Reinoehl compiled 18 assists, three digs, three kills and two service points for the Vikings (7-4, 7-3 D-II).

For the Miners (2-13, 2-7), Bella Cruz had nine digs and five assists; Caty Ilsley contributed five kills and three blocks; and Eva Ladick made 14 digs.

Williams Valley won JV 2-1.
