Notes: Third-seeded Blue Mountain advances to Wednesday’s semifinals. The Eagles will face No. 2 seed Allentown Central Catholic (17-1) at 3:30 p.m. at Cedar Crest College. ACC eliminated No. 7 seed Tamaqua 5-0 on Tuesday. The Blue Raiders finished their season 10-5.

GIRLS’ SOCCER

Tamaqua 6, Marian 0

HOMETOWN — Katie Fredericks scored three goals and added one assist to lead Tamaqua to a Schuylkill League Division I victory over Marian.

Evelyn Leinbach, Shaylee Gormley and Gia Miller netted the other goals for the Blue Raiders (8-10, 5-7 D-I). Gormley also had one assist as Tamaqua built a 5-0 halftime lead.

Ceanna Gormley recorded her sixth shutout of the season for Tamaqua, while Katie Knock saved 11 shots for Marian (1-16, 0-12).

GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL

Executive Education 3, Weatherly 1

ALLENTOWN — Abby Weston had 13 service points, 14 assists, three digs and two aces for Weatherly, but Executive Education defeated the Wreckers 18-25, 29-27, 25-23, 26-24 in a non-league match.

Also for Weatherly (1-19), Abigail Binder posted five service points, seven kills and three digs; Kendra Moyer tallied 17 service points, five digs and two aces; and Kelly Reiner chipped in four service points and five digs.
