Six local teams will continue their quests for a state championship when the PIAA playoffs for boys’ soccer, girls’ soccer and girls’ volleyball get under way Tuesday across the state.

After the completion of district playoffs, the PIAA released the state brackets Sunday (see piaa.org for complete brackets). Sixteen teams make up each bracket.

The area will have two teams competing in each sport, and four of them will be playing at home in the round of 16.

Here’s a breakdown of Tuesday’s schedule:

Boys’ Soccer

***Class A — 11-1 Minersville (17-4) at 2-1 Wyoming Seminary (15-5), 6 p.m.

***Class 3A — 12-2 Franklin Towne Charter at 11-1 Blue Mountain (19-3), 5 p.m.

Girls’ Soccer

***Class A — 11-1 Schuylkill Haven (16-5-1) vs. 2-1 Holy Redeemer (11-9), Wilkes University, 7 p.m.

***Class 3A — 3-2 Lower Dauphin (16-4) at 11-1 Blue Mountain (19-3), 7 p.m.

Girls’ Volleyball

***Class A — 3-2 Ephrata Mennonite (16-3) at 11-1 Tri-Valley (21-1), 6 p.m.

***Class AA — 12-2 Masterman (9-5) at 11-1 Pine Grove (12-10), 6 p,m,
