The Schuylkill League Boys’ Soccer Senior Game will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, at Schuylkill Haven’s Rotary Field.

Twenty-nine Division I seniors will take on 26 Division II seniors. As a result of being champions of their respective divisions, Blue Mountain’s Chris Brauer and Minersville’s Ed Burke have been named head coaches for the event.

The Senior Game was a long-standing tradition that had gone away some years ago.  Last year, the Schuylkill League Boys’ Soccer Coaches Association decided to bring back the initiative as a grand finale to the season.

This year’s event would not be possible without these sponsors: Benny’s Pizza and Burgers; Fanelli, Evans, Patel, P.C.; Hess Catering Inc.; Plain and Fancy Donut Shop; and Matt S. Shiffer Well Services. Several participating soccer booster programs and at least one anonymous sponsor also helped to make this year’s Senior Game a memorable one for the players.

Fans are invited to come out and cheer on the boys one last time as they compete in rain, sleet, snow or shine for bragging rights in this year’s Schuylkill League Boys’ Soccer Senior Game.
