HS Soccer: Tri-Valley’s Hillard scores 100th career goal

HEGINS — Nathan Hillard had a record-setting day as Tri-Valley routed Marian on Saturday in a non-league boys’ soccer match.
Hillard scored eight goals and had one assist for the Bulldogs (11-5). Hillard’s first goal of the day was his 50th of the season. Hillard’s eighth goal was the 100th of his career.
Other top players for the Bulldogs included Garett Leitzel with two goals and six assists; Tyler Mowery with two assists; and Liam Yourey with one goal and one assist.
Brayden Leese (2 saves) and Gavin Ballay (2 saves) shared the shutout in goal for the Dawgs. Damien Gall made 17 saves for Marian (2-12).
Pottsville 1, Schuylkill Haven 0
SCHUYLKILL HAVEN — Malchi Kollie’s goal lifted Pottsville (7-8-1) to a non-league win over Schuylkill Haven (5-11).
Pottsville won the JV match 5-2.
Wyomissing 1, Pine Grove 0
PINE GROVE — Dami Johnson-Agiri’s second-half goal gave Wyomissing (11-5-1) a non-league victory over Pine Grove.
Peyton Renninger made 11 saves for the Cardinals (13-4).
The JV match ended in a 0-0 tie.
Northern Lehigh 4, Williams Valley 1
WILLIAMSTOWN — Collin Berger, assisted by Ethan Lebo, scored for Williams Valley in a non-league loss to Northern Lehigh.
Kellen Bauer scored two goals for the Bulldogs (7-9).
Xzavion Tennis made 22 saves for Williams Valley (2-14).
Lourdes 2, Shamokin 1
SHAMOKIN — Sam Schauer and Josh Miller netted goals for Lourdes in a non-league victory over Shamokin.
Cole Hockenbroch scored for the Indians (0-13).
Nathan Yablonski made six saves for the Red Raiders (9-8). Rhyan Hinz stopped eight shots for Shamokin.
GIRLS
Conrad Weiser 2, Blue Mountain 1
ROBESONIA — Kyra Moran’s second-half goal gave Blue Mountain the lead, but Conrad Weiser rallied for a non-league win.
Audrine Colon and Lidia Dalesandro netted goals for the Scouts (7-7-1).
Alanza Smith made five saves for the Eagles (13-3).
Wyomissing 3, Pine Grove 2
PINE GROVE — Kendra Umbenhauer and Solana Rodriguez had one goal apiece for Pine Grove in a non-league loss to Wyomissing.
Gianna Pompei assisted on both goals for the Cardinals (7-7-2).
Alyssa Moyer made 18 saves for Pine Grove.
Tri-Valley 9, Marian 0
HEGINS — Maggie Hoffman-Long scored three goals to lead Tri-Valley past Marian in a non-league match.
Kiara Smeltz and Ivy Sankus added two goals apiece for the Bulldogs (7-9). Allie Pennypacker contributed one goal and two assists.
Sophia Holt made one save for Tri-Valley. Katie Knock stopped four shots for Marian (1-14),
Tamaqua 5, Catasauqua 0
CATASAUQUA — Shaylee Gormley posted two goals and one assist as Tamaqua shut out Catasauqua in a non-league match.
Katie Fredericks notched one goal and one assist for the Blue Raiders (7-8). Evelyn Leinbach and Gabby Chistakoff had one goal apiece.
Ceanna Gormley made 11 saves for Tamaqua. Haley Cedeno stopped 19 shots for the Rough Riders (1-14).
Tamaqua earned the 275th win in program history in the 27th year of girls’ soccer at the school.
Shenandoah Valley 2, Weatherly 1
SHENANDOAH — Brynn Burke scored two goals to lift Shenandoah Valley over Weatherly in non-league action.
Gianna Donovan and Lucero Zavala Perez had one assist apiece for the Blue Devils (5-8).
Emalee Pinkey made 10 saves for Shenandoah Valley.
