Defending Schuylkill League champion Pottsville and Schuylkill Haven earned the preseason nod of their division rivals in the 2025-26 T102SportsNow.com Schuylkill League Boys’ Basketball Preseason Coaches Poll.

Voting was done by the Schuylkill League boys’ basketball coaches during Sunday’s preseason media day at Schuylkill Haven’s Sports Performance Center. Only seven teams voted in the Division II poll as Lourdes was not represented at media day.

The Crimson Tide dominated the Division I poll, earning seven of eight first-place votes and 63 total points, 11 more than second-place Blue Mountain. Pottsville went 21-7 a year ago, beating Minersville 50-43 in the Schuylkill League final, then downing Bangor to win the District 11 Class 5A championship.

Blue Mountain was second with 52 points, followed by Minersville in third with one first-place vote and 51 points. Panther Valley (35 points) finished fourth, followed by North Schuylkill (29), Pine Grove (27), Mahanoy Area (19) and Tamaqua (12).

The Division II poll was a balanced affair as five teams finished within eight points of each other.

Schuylkill Haven ended up in first, grabbing three first-place votes and 45 points. Weatherly was second with one first-place vote and 44 points.

Defending Division II champion Nativity and Tri-Valley tied for third with 39 points, each grabbing a first-place vote. Defending District 11 Class AA champion Marian was fifth with the final first-place vote and 37 points.

Williams Valley (21 points), Shenandoah Valley (14) and Lourdes (13) rounded out the Division II poll.
