HS Baseball Roundup: Stewart’s 4-hit day leads Tri-Valley; Minahan, Sullivan headline league wins

Jason Stewart, Tri-Valley baseball
PINE GROVE — Jason Stewart sparked the offense from the jump and Tri-Valley never let Pine Grove settle in.
Stewart led the charge going 4-for-4 at the plate as Tri-Valley rolled to an 11-3 win over Pine Grove in a Schuylkill League Division I baseball game Thursday at Stump Stadium.
The Dawgs struck for three runs in the first and kept adding on, building a 5-0 lead through two innings before pulling away with a four-run fifth.
Braeden Doyle added two hits and drove in runs as part of a balanced 10-hit attack. Owen Miller and Jack Wehry also chipped in multiple hits as Tri-Valley consistently found ways to score.
On the mound, Gavin Klock earned the win, working into the fourth while allowing three runs, before Doyle came on in relief to help close things out. Behind them, the Dawgs played solid defense and turned two double plays to keep the Cardinals from mounting a comeback.
Pine Grove managed five hits, with Wyatt Snyder collecting two and Brandon Gibson driving in a pair of runs, but couldn’t overcome defensive miscues in the loss.
